The Future Form of Design

is research degree sponsored by London College of Fashion/ Victoria & Albert Scholarship asking…

How will we design good form using grown materials in the context of future manufactured footwear?

The aims of the research is to advance future manufactured design forms, promote the interdependence of design form and material development and lead towards developing new archetypes. The research will be informed by the V&A archives and underpinned by practice based research.

‘Manufacturing in 2050 will look very different from today, and will be virtually unrecognisable from that of 30 years ago…. ‘ The Future of UK Manufacturing – UK Department of Business and Innovation. 2013
